Sites like Chatib
Chatib alternatives — a cleaner free chat site
Chatib made free chat rooms popular, but a lot of people find it cluttered and dated. Hollr does the same job — free chat with strangers, no registration — with a calmer layout that was designed for a phone first.
People, not rooms
Rather than crowded public rooms, Hollr shows you a list of everyone online. You pick a person and the conversation is private from the first message.
Far fewer ads
Hollr keeps ads off the phone chat screen entirely. You're never hunting for the message box between banners.
Real filters
Narrow by gender, country and region or by shared interests, and people near you appear first.
Modern chat features
Typing indicators, read receipts, emoji reactions, photos and short voice notes — the things you expect from a messaging app.
Safety built in
Block and report in one tap, automatic scanning for scams and abuse, a warning before you share personal details, and an 18+ only rule.
Still free and anonymous
No account needed, no card, no real name. Just a nickname and you're in.
