Free chat rooms
Free chat rooms — talk to real people online, no sign up
Hollr is a free chat site built around one-to-one conversations instead of noisy crowded rooms. Choose a nickname, browse everyone who is online right now, and message anyone privately. It's free forever, works on phone and desktop, and needs no download or registration.
No registration chat
Type a nickname and you're in. No email, no phone number, no app store. If you want to keep your nickname across devices you can create a free account later, but you never have to.
Private one-to-one chat
Every conversation on Hollr is between two people. Nobody else reads it, and you can walk away from a chat at any time.
Find the right person fast
Filter the people list by gender, search by location or nickname, and match on shared interests like music, gaming, travel or late-night talks.
Photos, voice notes and reactions
Send pictures, record short voice notes, react with emoji and see when your message has been read — all included free.
Safe by default
Block or report anyone in two taps, spam and abusive floods are blocked automatically, and you stay anonymous behind your nickname.
Works on any device
Hollr runs in your browser. Open it on a phone, tablet or laptop and pick up your chats where you left off.
Questions people ask
- Are the chat rooms really free?
- Yes. Chatting, photos, voice notes and private messages are all free. The site is supported by a small number of ads.
- Do I need to register to chat?
- No. A nickname is enough. An optional free account just saves your nickname and conversations.
- Is the chat anonymous?
- You're known only by the nickname you pick. Don't share personal details like your address, phone number or financial information with strangers.
- Who can I talk to?
- Anyone online right now. The people list shows who's available, their location and interests, so you can start a conversation with something in common.
